The Mori Ring is a homage to the rich tradition of 16th and 17th-century momento mori jewellery. This ring features a tiny and intricately detailed, lifelike skull along with two resting Death's Head Moths, all set against a backdrop of intricate filigree decoration.
Memento mori; a Latin phrase meaning "remember that you will die" , encapsulates the concept of reflecting on mortality and the transient nature of life. Throughout history, various artistic expressions have employed memento mori as a poignant reminder of the fleeting nature of life, the inevitability of death and the importance of living purposefully.
Designed and made in the UK using 100% recycled solid silver, and hallmarked at the London Assay office.
